Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, and the anime adaptation began airing in 2019. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy whose family is attacked by demons, leaving his younger sister Nezuko as the only survivor, though she is turned into a demon.

Tanjiro becomes a Demon Slayer to find a cure for Nezuko and avenge his family. The series explores his journey as he trains and faces various demons, all while traveling with Nezuko, who fights her demonic urges to protect humans.
